APPLICATION GUIDE

Pool & Spa Drainage

Match the pump to water chemistry, temperature, debris and the final water level. Check the flow available through your discharge hose.

YARDPUMP compact submersible pump range
Check model limits for pH, temperature and solids before draining treated water.

Selection

What to Check Before Choosing

01

Water Treatment
Check pH and describe chlorine, salt or other treatments.

02

Temperature
The current range lists a maximum liquid temperature of 40°C.

03

Debris
Leaves and other material can change which model is suitable.

04

Discharge Hose
Check the lift, length and internal diameter.

05

Final Stage
Compare the model’s residual water level and how it starts and stops.

Common Questions

Questions to Check Before You Choose

Can I use a clean-water pump for pool water?

Only when the water, treatment chemicals, temperature and debris are within the selected model’s limits. Describe the pool water before choosing, especially for saltwater or heated pools.

Will a low-level pump empty the pool completely?

It can help remove the shallow final layer, within its starting and operating conditions. The listed clean-water models still have a residual water level; they do not leave every pool completely dry.
